Cookies

Last updated 1 October 2026

I do not run ads. If you allow analytics, I use Google Analytics to see which pages are visited. I also store a couple of choices in your browser so the site remembers them. Some of that is localStorage, not a classic HTTP cookie. Same idea: it lives in your browser.

What I store

  • theme: light or dark mode, stored in localStorage until you clear site data or change it.
  • cookie-consent: remembers that you saw the cookie notice, and whether analytics is on, stored in localStorage until you clear site data.
  • Google Analytics (_ga and related): only if you accept analytics. Used to count visits. IP addresses are anonymised.

Why

Theme is so the page does not flash back to light every visit. The notice flag is so the banner does not keep asking. Analytics is so I know which pages people actually read. None of it is sold.

Third parties

The contact form goes through FormSubmit. Hosting may set its own technical cookies to keep the site up. Those are not mine. Google Analytics, if you allow it, is processed by Google. You can turn it off in preferences.

How to clear them

Use your browser settings to clear data for this site. Dark mode and the cookie notice will reset. Personal information from the contact form is covered on the privacy page.

Preferences

You can change appearance and review what is stored on the preferences page, or from the cookie notice.
